JAMB list of Public Universities that you can choose as 2nd Choice

Information reaching Mynewsvilla says that the 2017 UTME Candidates can now choose two (2) Public Universities in their application.

This isn't what JAMB disclosed to us at first, the board told us that Candidates can only choose one (1) Public University and one (1) private university during their Registration.

We understand that JAMB disclosed this to us because in the past years, Candidates who choose Public Universities as their 1st and 2nd choice always end up not getting Admission in any due to high level of competition in the universities they selected.

So Candidates who would love to choose two Public Universities as 1st and 2nd choice can go ahead. Below is the PDF of list of less competitive list of universities that you can choose as 2nd Choice.

The management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board also said during the Strategic planning retreat on Supervision and evaluation for the 2017 UTME that they would change the procedures and time for the 2017 UTME.

The board said that the are going to cut out questions for prospective courses of choice......
For Use of English, they are looking at setting 60 questions instead of the 100 questions it use to be.
Then for other questions, they are going to set 40 questions each instead of 50.

The JAMB Registra further stated that the 2017 UTME questions would be uploaded five (5) minutes to the examination to check malpractice questions and leakage. He also said that as for the 2017 UTME, they are going to reduce the examination duration to two (2) hours instead of the 3-hrs timing.

The board also said that about 300,000 Candidates would take the Mock examination and it would be used to test it's new technology and adoption.

JAMB Scraps the Use of Mouse for UTME and initiates 8-Keys Device

Due to Computer illiteracy and Phobia for Mouse on the path of the UTME Canndidates, the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has announced that it would adopt an 8 keys device for this year's UTME.

Prof. Ishaq noted during a Strategic planning retreat on Supervision and evaluation of the 2017 UTME, that in order to ensure equity and level playground for all 2017 UTME candidates, the board has designed an 8 keys device for Candidates to use instead of the mouse.

The Eight (8) keys comprise of ......
A, B, C, D for RESPONSES to answers of questions.....
P N S R
P = Previous Question
N = Next Question
S =  Submit the entire questions after solving all.
R = Reverse; don't submit again

On the arrangement for the Visually impaired 2017 UTME candidates, the board said that they have reached an agreement with the Association of Blind persons in Nigeria that all prospective blind UTME candidates would be invited to three centers in the country for special assessment in their subjects of choice and relevant to their desired programmes.

According an NFF official Chris Green, he said that "Seven out of the Squad of the Burkinabe Contingent failed to gain entry visas into the United Kingdom".

The NFF explained that the reason why the failed to fulfil the match came about, with the British embassy in Morocco – where Burkina Faso played the Atlas Lions on Friday – and not processing their visa applications through in time for their planned flight to London.
