UBA PLC has instructed her employees to return the #1,551,000 stolen from the ATM


United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has enforced nine of her employees to refund the monies Stolen by them from the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) transactions.

The Management of the bank has mandated them to return N1,551,000 (One Million, five hundred and fifty one thousand naira) before March 30, 2017;

The Chief Executive Officer said in her Mail, "As Regards the huge loss of N1,551,000 (One Million, five hundred and fifty-one thousand naira only) from the ATM transaction in your BO, as a result of your dereliction of duty; you are hereby required by the Executive Management to pay the amount listed against your name to retrieve this loss".

Based on this directive which was communicated to the BOM in Dec 2016, Angela Obiakala (the former BOM) refunded #300,000 , Isaac Telewa (the Cash Officer) refunded #250,000 and Adebimpe Adenuga (the FTO) refunded #20,000 making a total refund of N570,000 leaving a balance of N981,000 which has remained unpaid till date.
