The Nigeria-Burkina Faso Match Cancelled Yesterday

Burkina Faso team has been instructed to withdraw from Yesterday's International friendly as a result of seven of their players not cleared to travel to the United Kingdom.

According an NFF official Chris Green, he said that "Seven out of the Squad of the Burkinabe Contingent failed to gain entry visas into the United Kingdom".

The NFF explained that the reason why the failed to fulfil the match came about, with the British embassy in Morocco – where Burkina Faso played the Atlas Lions on Friday – and not processing their visa applications through in time for their planned flight to London.

As a result, the Burkinabe Football Federation told match organisers Eurodata that they would not be able to play.
