JUST IN: Snake Alert! - IMSU Student Narrowly Escapes Death (Photos)

Reporter: Duru Victor

An IMSU student narrowly escaped being bitten by a snake today, reports reaching our news desk confirms. The unfortunate incident happened at Okwu-Uratta Students Alliance (Lodge name withheld) at about some minutes past 10pm today.

The student (name withheld) who happened to be the Director of Welfare of his lodge, saddled with the responsibility of ensuring the lodge gate is locked by 10:00pm, was on his way to doing so when he ran into the reptile. Bewildered, he was said to have alerted some inmates to the impending danger, and through a concerted effort the reptile was killed.

In a related manner, a similar incident was reported to have occurred yesterday (Friday) where a snake was also killed in a lodge too of the aforementioned students alliance.

This doesn't come as a surprise as these reptiles are known to be on the loose during rainy periods as this time. To this end, extra care should be taken to avoid ugly situations as this; do not venture nocturnally without being aided by a torch light.

See pictures of the killed snake below.
