STRATEGIES OF IMPROVING PKC NUTRITIVE VALUE FOR POULTRY & PIGS.
Conclusion:
PKC can be included in Poultry diets (30%) and piggery (60%), provided the cost of maize & other grains justify it.
Commercial exogenous feed enzymes are only effective in improving nutritive value of PKC if only they have the potential to breakdown the Mannan in PKC.
Understanding the physiochemical characteristics as well as the microstructure of PKC is key to developing effective technologies for its use in livestock feeding.
