UPDATE: THE SECOND COURT HEARING OF FUTO 6, MANAGEMENT, FULL DETAILS

Today makes it approximately 9 months since the blackest day at the Federal University of Technology Owerri. The day the students of FUTO went rogue over hike in tuition fees by the school management.

In the Month of April, the Senate in her 421st sitting reached a conclusion to expel the Six (6) suspected FUTO students suspected to have led the hazardous riot.

But since then, the expelled FUTO students has not relented in their fight for Justice and also their right to fair hearing.

Yesterday, Friday 6th October was the 2nd Court hearing of the case between the expelled six students of FUTO and the school management.

The school management, honourably represented by Barr. Oyimmadu filed her defense report this day, using a law approved by the Supreme Court of Nigeria that allows tertiary institutions to expel her students and other ethics.

The Administering Judge, Justice Lewis Allogar promised that this case wasn't going to cross over to the month of November, he said..." We don't have to keep adjourning this case over and over again, these Students needs to know their stand, they need to know if they are going back to school especially this is a new semester or if they should go get a Keke for transport business".

The Attorney representing the FUTO 6, speaking to FUTO INFOSC🔍PE MEDIA said..." I am their lawyer and I feel that there are issues of significance. My interest is that these young ones should not be punished for no just course. Every Nigerian is entitled to a fair hearing. You're not guilty until the court proves that you are. We are here to decide whether the university management followed the due process or not. Today the school filed her defense report, so we are going to put in our report latest by next week. We just have to keep praying and hope for the best".

The case was adjourned to Tuesday 17th October, 2017 which should probably be the Judgement/Deciding day.
