Deltans pay tribute to late Omuvwie.

Deltans across various walks of life yesterday paid tributes to late Chief Peter Omuvwie, who passed on last Wednesday night, at the age of 109 years.

In their tributes, both the Erhi of Okpe Kingdom, Chief Charles Obule, and the Ugo of Okpe kingdom, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, described late Omuvwie as “a man of honour, integrity and worthy of emulation.” In his own condolence message, the Executive Director of Asaba International Airport, Mr Austin Eyimedejor said, “Chief Omuvwie was very hard working, unassuming and very successful in business. He worked patiently and diligently hard that he became famous and successful in life. He was a role model to his generation and the present generation.” Others who paid tributes include, APC stalwart, Chief Felix Anirah; former member of House of Representatives and Commissioner for Science and Technology, Hon. Joyce Overah; Chief Joe Ejigba, Dr Michael Deden, Mr Ladi Lawrence, former Sapele council Chair, Mr Godwin Atose, Mr Gabriel Eyide, Hon. Clement Olojoba, and Harrison Ekeleme, among others.
