It is no longer news that the School Management is working earnestly to see to the completion of one of the 2 male, 1 female hostel construction besides the Popular NDDC hostel.

We don't know yet the gender that has the new hostel building that is very much close to completion, but it will probably be for the Male folks, checking from the fact that they are more populated.

We got information (a rumour actually) stating that the new hostels would be for only 100L students. We are sorry to tell you that such information is false and can be misleading... Be Careful!!.

The new hostel would be the first FUTO hostel with 3 decking storey building.
And from the looks of things, it would be the first hostel designed to have Aluminium/Almaco Windows.
External Staircase that connects every storey from the outer part of the building which is on the opposite sides of the building. This means that to go over to the next storey of the hostel, you would have to take the staircase from the outside.
Iron doors for each room with over estimated 70 rooms.

To cut the long story short, it is clear to us as at the last time we visited the construction site and you would also see from the pictures that the new hostel might be put to use from the 2018/2019 academic session.

Meanwhile FUTO resumes from the Christmas Break on Sunday 7th January, 2018.
Lecture week one for the 2017/2018 academic session commences from Monday 8th January, 2018.
All FUTO Students are expected to return to the campus starting from Sunday 7th January, 2018.

Amidst the NASU Strike, some technicalities have been put in place to enable students pay for their hostel accommodation & move into their allocated rooms ASAP!. This is to avoid the case where FUTO students would be stranded as a result of absence of Porters (those in charge of hostel allocation & hostel materials) at the various hostels.

Remember, the ongoing Indefinite Strike action is only affecting Non Academic Staffs and not Academic Staffs.

You are advised to resume for lectures immediately as no lecturer would wait for you to complete your holiday celebration.
Lectures will commence immediately as nothing will hinder it. The general school timetable is under formation at the appropriate quarters. You have got to expect it soon.

The portal for Hostel Accommodation registration is open. The amount for hostel payment is #12000 for Hostel A — F while Hostel G(NDDC hostel) is #42,000.

But remember, you won't be allowed to pay for an accommodation in the school hostel if you haven't paid your school fees.
