The Deputy Vice Chancellor in-charge of Academics Prof. Nkwam Uwaoma has revealed that the recent fire mishap that affected the Humanities Annex building was foretold by a "pastor" and confirmed by several persons before that unfortunate day.
Prof. Nkwam Uwaoma made this shocking revelation at the first Solemn Assembly of the year 2019 held yesterday at the IMSU Auditorium.
The Prof. Nkwam, who represented the Vice Chancellor at the monthly ritual, added that the prophecy also included the collapse of a building in the school (little wonder the ETF 1 and 2 structures were made to be out of bounds for students).
He led the congregation to offer prayers for the three buildings under construction namely the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences building.
Present at the January 2019 Thanksgiving Solemn Assembly include the Deputy Vice Chancellor in-charge of Administration Prof. B E.B. Nwoke, the Ag. Registrar Mrs Roskette, members of the governing council, Deans, HODs, lecturers, students and so forth.
Taking the closing remark, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration Prof. B.E.B. Nwoke enjoined all lecturers and students of IMSU to continue the prayer for IMSU in their individual homes.
