NON-ACADEMIC STAFF UNIONS FUTO CHAPTER, JOINS THE INDEFINITE STRIKE ACTION

Senior Staff Association Of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities, NASU & Non Academic Technicians — FUTO Chapter has joined the ongoing indefinite industrial strike action of Non-Academic Staff Unions.

This was directed from the various union chairmen yesterday.
All FUTO Non Academic Staffs are not expected to be in school today. All Non Academic Staff Offices(Laboratories, Farms, Admission Offices, Hostel Portals, etc) are not expected to be open today.

According to the National chairmen, the strike is going to be total & comprehensive.

Recall that the National Body, AKA Joint Action Committee of all Non Academic Staff Unions has directed that her members should resume the suspended indefinite industrial strike action from Monday 4th December 2017.

Reasons:
The JAC had claimed that only a ‘pittance’ was given to the three unions out of the N23bn ‘earned allowance’ released by the Federal Government to the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
