What are the five stages of Grief ?

Grief is a natural response to losing someone or something that's important to you. You may feel a variety of emotions, like sadness or loneliness. And you might experience it for a number of different reasons. Maybe a loved one died, a relationship ended, or you lost your job.

The five stages of grief were first proposed by the psychiatrist Elisabeth Kubler Ross.
The stages of grief are based on the observation of terminally ill patients, but can also be applied to any life experiences that may lead to strong feelings of grief such as divorce, drug abuse, loss of a loved one, etc....

The five stages of grief are:
1) Denial
2) Anger
3) Bargaining
4) Depression
5) Acceptance

Ross's model of grief is not a particularly scientific one, but many people have found the model useful, and it has gained acceptance from the general public.
