This is to inform all 2017 JAMB Candidates that the portal for the checking & printing the 2017/2018 JAMB Admission letter has been enabled.

Candidates whom has been facing issues with the CAPS process can now check via the JAMB Admission Status direct link.

How to check & print your JAMB Admission letter...

1) Log on to http://www.jamb.org.ng/eFacility/

2) Input your Username & Password in the spaces provided to login.

3) Click on the "Admission Status" tab.

4) Select your examination year eg. 2017

5) Input your JAMB Registration Number.

6) Click on "Check Admission Status"

7) Once Successful, You can print your Admission Letter.

Eligibility Criteria:

Participants should be students of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Medical Laboratory Science, Radiography, Physiotherapy, Optometry, Physiology, Anatomy or any allied health science or technology undergoing, Undergraduate/Postgraduate Study in a Tertiary Institution.

1) Write an essay in line with the theme “IF I WERE THE MINISTER OF HEALTH”.

2) Your essay should be between 1000-2000 words....

STEP BY STEP REGISTRATION PROCEDURE FOR FRESHMEN / NEW STUDENTS

The following is the approved registration guideline for Freshmen/New Students of Federal University of Technology Owerri for 2017/2018 Academic Session...

STUDENT PORTAL ACCOUNT VERIFICATION

1) Visit the University Official Website @ www.futo.edu.ng 

2) Click on "Prospective Students" Link.

3) Then click on "Check Admission Status" to confirm your Admission.

4) Enter you JAMB REG NOS and click on submit button to view your Admission status.

5) After Confirming your Admission status, click on the "Click here to continue registration"

6) Update your O'level details by supplying your O'level exam year, exam number, & O'level result scratch card pin.

7) Click on the link "Portal" on the home page.

8) Then click on "Create Portal Account" to generate portal login details.

9) Get account details with your Jamb Reg No as the default username & password.

10) Login with your username & password.

11) Click on "Change Password" to change your passport.

PROFILE DETAILS

1) Click on fill Profile Details

2) Enter all the required details on that page.

3) Click on submit button to complete your profile details.

4) Print the profile information Slip.


ACCEPTANCE FEE PAYMENT

1) Login to the portal www.portal.futo.edu.ng with your username & password.

2) Click on "Generate Acceptance Fee Invoice" to generate payment invoice.

3) Print your Invoice and proceed to any bank to pay a NON-REFUNDABLE Acceptance Fee of #42,500 using your RRR Code on the Invoice.

4) Alternatively you can make online payments with credit cards such as Visa, Verve, Master Card.

5) After Successful Payment, return to the portal @ www.portal.futo.edu.ng and login with your account details to print your FUTO Admission Letter & Clearance Form 6.

CONFIRMATION OF ADMISSION

1) Obtain a confirmation of Admission letter from the University Admission Officer with the following documents...

— FUTO Admission Letter
— JAMB Admission Letter
— Admission Screening Result Slip
— JAMB Result

DEPARTMENTAL CLEARANCE

1) Proceed to your department for further clearance on presentation of:

— Confirmation of Admission Letter duly signed & stamped by the UAO.
— FORM 6 printed online with your passport clearly shown or displayed.
— Original Copies of your entry credentials (A'Level Certificates/OND/HND statement of results & O'Level Certificates as appropriate)

2) Candidates whose FORM 6 is not approved in their department but are desirous of sourcing another Program of study should go back to the UAO for possible change of Course/Department.

3) Candidates whose FORM 6 is approved in the department should proceed with payment of School Fees.

SCHOOL FEES PAYMENT

1) Login into the portal with your Username & Password.

2) Click on "Generate School Fees Invoice" to generate your payment invoice.

3) Print your invoice and proceed to any bank to make payments.

4) Alternatively you can make payments using the online payment options with Credit/Debit Cards such as Visa, Verve, Master Card.

ADMISSION UNIT CLEARANCE

1) Proceed to the Admission Unit for Registration and collection of Green-File with Original & Photocopies of the following documents...

— Clearance FORM 6 duly signed & stamped by your H.O.D
— WAEC/NECO Certificates or statement of result, duly signed & stamped by the School Principal.
— JAMB & FUTO Admission Letters.
— Birth Certificate or Statutory declaration of Age.
— Confirmation of Admission Letter duly signed & stamped by the UAO.
— University Official Receipts for Medical Clearance, Library Clearance & School fees receipt.
— Local Government Identification letter.
— Undertaking Form duly processed for Stamp-duty at the Sub Treasury.

COMPLETION OF REGISTRATION

— Sign the New/Fresh Students Registration data form 'FORM 11'.

REMARKS

1) New/Fresh Students will not be allowed to pay school fees until their Clearance FORM 6 has been approved in their department.

2) Students are once more reminded that payment of SCHOOL FEES is COMPULSORY; and this payment will give students access to...

— Obtaining Matriculation Number Automatically.
— Online Course Registration.
— Write Semester Examination.
— Campus WiFi.

3) For Students having issues with the above online payment process, should contact the FUTO ICT Center specifying the problem & issues they might be having.

If you were not admitted, there are a number of probable reasons why you weren't admitted...

They are listed below...

1) You didn't cross the Cut Off Mark Average for those who will be admitted in the Merit List.
The Management of Federal University of Technology Owerri is yet to Publicly Release her Official Cut Off Marks for Various Departments.
Once it is released, you will informed in due course via this site.

You Could Also Check You Admission Status HERE!!

2) Your Subject Combination isn't correct.
Do you know that FUTO has just 2 Subject combination in JAMB.

You either write "Mathematics", Use of English, Physics, Chemistry
OR
You write " "Biology ", Physics, Chemistry, Use of English.

Outside this two, there is high probability that you won't be admitted.

3) You thought because you applied for Agricultural Economics, you think you can seat for " Agricultural Science " in JAMB.

You thought because you applied for Geology, you think you can seat for "Geography" in JAMB.

Same reason with Nos. 1, there is high probability that you won't be admitted.

4) The department you applied for is not yet accredited.
They won't be allowed to admit students via Merit List unless through Supplementary List.
You have to hope & Pray to be admitted via the Supplementary List.
